Hey! I’m Vedant Kashyap, a Platform Engineer building & scaling reliable cloud systems since 2019.

My journey has taken me from India to The Netherlands, working with companies like WeTransfer and JetBrains to streamline development processes and enable developer success through internal tools & workshops. Currently at JetBrains, I help our major clients deploy our products and migrate from legacy JetBrains products to modern ones with minimal downtime.

I care most about developer experience i.e. building platforms that make the right thing the easy thing, so teams can ship without fighting their tools. Day to day, my toolbox looks like:

• Cloud: AWS, Azure
• Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize
• IaC & CI/CD: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Languages: Bash, Python, Go, PowerShell

This blog is where I think out loud, share what I learn, and sometimes write about more personal things. I give equal space to tech and personal topics here.

Outside of work, I’m a music enthusiast who can’t survive without headphones and love splurging on a good pair of headphones. I’m also somewhat of an avid reader. You can follow along on Goodreads. Lately I’ve been working through “Red Dragon” by Thomas Harris and “The Book of Disquiet” by Fernando Pessoa.

To unwind, I play badminton, game on FIFA or Satisfactory, and cheer for FC Bayern Munich and Max Verstappen on weekends.
